A finely executed Bohemian ruby overlay spa beaker (Lázeňský pohár), most likely produced in the Karlovy Vary region in the early to mid-20th century.
This traditional form of Czech souvenir glass has been associated with spa culture since the 18th century. The present example features a clear glass body overlaid with a rich ruby red layer, skillfully wheel-engraved to reveal scenic architectural views — including a windmill and castle-like structure — alternating with delicate floral medallions.
The lower bowl and pedestal are enhanced with polished lens-cut details, beautifully reflecting and refracting light through the layered glass.
While similar pieces were historically produced by renowned Bohemian workshops such as Harrach, this example is more consistent with early 20th-century regional spa production.
